Megabus Partnership

April 2022 sees Linburg embark on a partnership with intercity express coach service operator, Megabus.

Founded as part of the Stagecoach Group in August 2003, Megabus is now part of Comfort Delgro-owned Scottish Citylink. Originally coaches were contracted to operate the services from within the Stagecoach Group, but the change of ownership has seen a speeding up of a policy to contract coaches from the best of independent coach companies.

Linburg will operate services initially between the North East, East Midlands and London, with further routes expected to be added later.

To service this contract, Linburg has repainted some of it’s prestigious Van Hool TX17 Astron’s into the iconic blue Megabus livery, so passengers can now look forward to comfortable reclining seats, on-board washroom/wc, air-conditioning and oil-fired central heating, free wifi and usb charging. Linburg drivers will wear Megabus uniforms, in order to maintain the corporate identity across the network.
